Our prices reflect the cost of providing services and are generally similar to prices in other local family practice offices. Our usual and customary charges include the administrative overhead needed to process insurance claims.
Self Pay Prices- These prices are only for patients who see us out of network, or who have no insurance. Since Self Pay patients pay for services on the day of service, we do not have to process an insurance claim. We do not charge self pay patients for billing services. We intend to encourage patients to spend limited health care dollars wisely, and to choose appropriate services. We encourage planning and evidence based prevention strategies. We want patients to be educated consumers.
Single issue visit $50 Standard office visit $80 Full physical exam $100
Vaccinations, tests, procedures, and housecalls are priced separately. Prices available before service.
Payment is expected at the time of service, using cash, check, major credit card or HSA card.
A SINGLE ISSUE VISIT focuses on one problem or concern, often one of the problems listed in the section “services provided.” It can be a new problem that needs diagnosis and treatment, or an old problem that requires a more aggressive approach.
A STANDARD OFFICE VISIT may last up to twenty minutes. Patients can address a single problem in depth , or a complex problem with multiple facets and treatment options, or a cluster of related problems (like asthma, bronchitis and and upper respiratory infection together, or high cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes together).
A FULL PHYSICAL EXAM includes a review of medications, allergies, past medical problems, family history and habits, an exam , and prevention related advice.
We send blood and other specimens to Affiliated Laboratory. Self pay patients who pay for tests on the day of service pay a lower fee because the laboratory does not have to bill them.
Each vaccination has a separate charge based on our costs to purchase, store and administer vaccines. We carry influenza, tetanus, Pneumovax, and other commonly required vaccines.
Procedures will have associated equipment charges for sterile equipment and instruments.
Housecalls cost $100 per hour of travel time both ways, plus the cost of the visit itself. For example, if you need a routine visit as a housecall, and it takes 30 minutes to drive from The Family Doc to your house, then you would pay $100 for the travel, and $80 for the visit, or $180 total.
